Repost from the feature request forum:

We had some issues with crashes at an event earlier this month and had to log results on paper to keep the event moving while we debugged the situation. As a result, those events were not entered into the system until after the event concluded. I did this by queuing up the drivers and manually entering their times. All the runs were credited to the correct drivers, but for us, order is important.

Because our rules state that the first run is a practice run and it's not counted towards best time calculations for the event, the order of the runs for this event is not correct for some of the drivers. I can't see a way to manually adjust the order of the runs, so I'd like to request some enhancements to the Driver Details screen.

For the time keeper, event admin, and/or admin, it would be very helpful if they could:

    • Edit a run by clicking on it from the driver details screen
    • Manually add a run for the driver from the driver details screen
    • Re-order the runs for a driver from the driver details screen

This would make it very easy to fix any issues for a driver all from one place.

We ran in the cold and wet at Crows Landing yesterday. 91 attendees, three run groups. ZERO system crashes!

Thanks to Chris for fixing up those couple of bugs.

Figured it out... the update creates a new folder "website-2-3-7" and keeps "website" in tact. Rename website to website-2-3-6 and then renamte website-2-3-7 to website and we're good to go.

Big testing event this weekend! Fingers crossed for a crash free experience.

Finally got around to applying the update, which is my first since joining the family. I did read on one of the initial screens "this upgrade does not change your existing version..." but I'm not sure how to verify I have the updated code now.

When I restarted step2, then reloaded localhost in Chrome, I'm still seeing 2.3.6 version number. Is that as expected?

I'd like to request a rush fix on this issue if possible. Run order is important to our program.

    Thanks, Chris!

More input... it's not every driver who had their results exported in the wrong order. Very baffling! Perhaps this is something to do with fixing up runs by editing/adding runs as needed post event. After doing so I did "recalculate" before exporting results. Print Results shows proper orders, though.

I wrote a function to reverse the columns in our spreadsheet so the run order is corrected during processing. However, a fix in a future release would eliminate that need.

What's really strange is when I compared export csv data from our previous event, the run order is correct. Now I'm wondering why the 10/17 export file is reversed.

    Thanks!

I just discovered the export function reverses the run/penalty order. What's in RUN 1 columns is actually the last run. However, Print Report and Live Results publish them in the correct order.

Any chance an emergency fix can be done on this? We have intricate Excel spreadsheets with macros that count on the run order to calculate results for us. Our first run is a practice run and does not count towards official runs. Order is important.
