@Chris - at yesterday' s event we had a lot of trouble with the second batch process of the database management system crashing. It never took the computer down but it always required a full restart in order to bring it back up.
I was unable to isolate what might have been causing the crashes. However, at least one of them occurred almost immediately upon restart and relaunch in the middle of the event, so there should not have been any time for a user to have done something to it. We hadn't made any hardware changes to the setup. The only software changes were typical Windows updates. We had one crash last event, but assumed that was an anomaly.
Is there a log file or something that I can upload to you to help determine what happened?
In fact, it just crashed now when it was just sitting in the background. The laptop is sitting on my bench, connected to my home wireless network for internet access, but nothing else. No users are doing anything (or even looking at it) and it was just idling.
